Principal

The role of the Principal is to provide leadership, direction and co-ordination within the school.

The Principal's main focus should be to develop and maintain effective educational programs within his/her school and to promote the improvement of teaching and learning with his/her school. The Principal should strive to create an organization and or climate which fosters student and teacher growth.

In fulfilling this role the Principal shall work under the supervision of the Superintendent of Schools and within the provisions of the Public Schools Act, the Department of Education and Training regulations, and Board Policy.

 

 

 

 

At Keller Elementary we believe that every child deserves an opportunity to learn and grow. We talk to our students about having a growth mindset. Students are taught to believe that they can accomplish their dreams if they work hard and stay focused. I can't do that YET is a phrase that we teach our students, and we wholeheartedly believe in. We teach our students to face challenges with courage and we remind them that they are special and loved. Education and skills are important but social emotional well-being is equally as important so here at Keller we have incorporated a good character traits model that recognizes students when they are displaying good character traits with other students and adults. As a school community we are dedicated to challenging students and helping them succeed!
